Just a few miles from the Interstate is the rolling countryside that helps characterize Blythewood as more than a one-horse town. Family farms are everywhere in the Blythewood area, and even someone who has never been on a horse will appreciate the scenery.
Equestrian activists can find facilities for boarding, training, lessons and trail rides.
The University of South Carolina’s Equestrian team calls Blythewood home. Located at 1200 Syrup Mill Road, the farm features training and competition facilities for both western and hunt seat. Visits to the facility are available by appointment. For more information, call 803-735-1019.
